The procedure can also be used to conceal scars from hair transplantation, hide the visual impact of burns or scars on head. Scalp micro pigmentation can be performed on all skin types and colours. In contrast to tattoos, the procedure penetrates the epidermal level of the skin and pigment is deposited in the upper dermal level and the inks (or pigments) used are less prone to colour change over time. The procedure takes about two or three sessions, which usually last more than three hours each. Clients can choose from hundreds of shades of ink to match their original hair colour and skin tone.
